Sewing Level II: Sew a Cozy Sweatshirt

Join us for a warm and cozy sewing workshop where you’ll learn to sew your own sweatshirt from start to finish. Working with soft knit fabrics, you’ll learn essential techniques for sewing stretch material on a serger, attaching ribbing, and achieving a professional finish. Whether you’re relatively new to  sewing or a seasoned crafter, this class is a perfect blend of comfort, creativity, and craftsmanship. Every stitch brings you closer to a one-of-a-kind piece you’ll love to live in.

Attaching Ribbing

Choose from a quilted cotton knit, or a smooth french terry knit. Both of these fabrics are deadstock and quantities are limited! We will note at check out if a fabric that you wish to select is sold out. We will work with cotton threads and fabrics that are ready to dye, so you can customize your color after class!  

Please select your ideal fabric and usual size at checkout.  This sweatshirt is a roomy, slightly oversized unisex design.  If you have any questions about sizing, feel free to reach out!

Workshop Policies:

  • Please arrive 5-10 minutes early for your workshop. Workshops start on time. If you are more that 15 minutes late for your class, you may forfeit your chance to take the class.

  • You may cancel for a refund up to 21 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable.

  • We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 3 sign ups. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund.

  • Please note that we may take photos during the workshop to use on social media. If you do wish to be photographed, please let the teacher know when you arrive.

  • If you are sick, please stay home. Call or email to let us know that you are not coming. You will receive a credit for a future class.

  • Last minute cancellations are extremely challenging for our guest teachers. Often times, materials have been meticulously prepared ahead of time. Keep in mind that late cancellations are a financial burden on these very special artists.
